1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DateSafetyCheck, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

DateSafetyCheck provides a risk assessment tool that analyzes dating conversations for potential scam patterns. Our service:

• Provides risk scores based on pattern matching
• Offers educational information about common scam tactics
• Aggregates anonymous community reports
• Suggests safety precautions

3. Important Disclaimers

• Risk scores are indicators based on patterns, not definitive judgments
• A low risk score does not guarantee safety
• A high risk score does not prove malicious intent
• Always use your own judgment and follow standard dating safety practices
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on our analysis

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for harassment or stalking
• Submit false incident reports
• Attempt to identify individuals from analysis results
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the service
• Share Premium features with non-subscribers
• Reverse engineer our detection algorithms

5. User-Submitted Content

When you submit chat text or screenshots:

• You confirm you have the right to share this content
• You grant us permission to analyze it for the service
• You understand it will be processed according to our Privacy Policy
• You acknowledge that incident reports may contribute to anonymized community data

6. Premium Subscriptions

• Premium features are available on a subscription or one-time purchase basis
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if service hasn't been used
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7. Limitation of Liability & Intermediary Status

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• DateSafetyCheck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service

Intermediary Safe Harbor (IT Act Section 79)

DateSafetyCheck operates as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended). In accordance with this provision:

• DateSafetyCheck is not liable for any user-generated content, including incident reports and chat text submitted for analysis
• We do not initiate, select, or modify the content submitted by users for analysis
• We comply with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 by providing a grievance redressal mechanism, removing unlawful content upon receiving actual knowledge, and maintaining user privacy
• Community reports are moderated before becoming part of venue signals. False or malicious reports are rejected
• Users may report concerns to our Grievance Officer at grievance@datesafetycheck.in

8. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use DateSafetyCheck. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email (if provided) or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Delhi.
